2013 RACE DATE

Save the date if you don't want to miss out! The 2013 running of the Paramount Trail Runs is on Saturday, December 7th.

All is GOOD if you're running this course. Imagine going back to another era, when men were men, your ride had four legs, and a wrong look at the local saloon can mean a showdown at high noon.

But for all the good there is, it would be very BAD if you don't mosey on over at daybreak to toe the line (with or without your boots).

There's nothing UGLY about this trail run. Set in one of the movie industry's premier sets, you may just want to trade in your running gear for leather chaps and a pair of spurs.

Keira Henninger Races is proud to bring the inaugural running of the Paramount Ranch Trail Runs, unique not only for its rich cinematic history, but also for the fact that it is set in the only working movie set on National Park Service land.

Lights! Camera! Action!

In 1927, Paramount Pictures purchased 2,700 acres of the old Rancho Las Virgenes for use as a "movie ranch." For 25 years, a veritable who's who of Hollywood practiced their craft at Paramount Ranch including director Cecil B. Demille and actors Bob Hope, Gary Cooper and Claudette Colbert. The diverse landscape was the real star of the show. It offered film makers the freedom to create distant locales such as colonial Massachusetts in The Maid of Salem (1937), ancient China in The Adventures of Marco Polo (1938), a South Seas island in Ebb Tide (1937) and numerous western locations including San Francisco in Wells Fargo. Now you can walk (and run) where Hollywood greats once did in one of Southern California's unique trail running locales.
